It's hard for me to remember back to a time when my life was not shared with a Yorkie.
My first Yorkshire Terrier was purchased from Ms.Ruth Edwards, out of her Ch. Christopher. From then on, I was hooked. Over the years, we had many pets but
never were we very interested in showing. Then I saw "BEA" and she changed our lives. In 2003, I became involved with showing our Yorkies and
I still get a thrill watching them move in the show ring.
This wonderful bitch became a Champion in just a short time and
became American Champion Bayou Blue New Beginning. Our family have
had Yorkies, in our home, for years, but "Bea" was our first
experience with showing.
Bayou Blue is located in the heart of Katy, Texas. The goal of Bayou Blue Yorkshire Terrier is to breed discriminatingly. We only breed Champion stock who have passed their health tests
and are conformationally correct with outstanding movement and have the
unique expression, coats, and dark blue color that makes a Yorkshire Terrier a show Yorkshire Terrier.

The Yorkshire Terrier needs lots of human companionship and we work
diligently to see that each and every pup gets a tremendous amount of socialization and affection. Our family joins in to rear each litter and to keep our dogs an integral part of our family. We recently relocated to a more dog friendly home with more square feet allowing the dogs access to our family room and covered outside exposure.

Together with trusted friends and handlers we hope to move forward
continuing to breed with a plan asking no bitch to produce more than three litters with the goal being to better our breed type, putting each dogs needs first and foremost and making sure we never lose site of the fascinating, unique and loving breed,
Yorkshire Terrier. I would like to thank both the YTCA and The Houston Kennel Club and all the members who are so supportive and all the activities that
help educate me. Jeanne Fuchs
